The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics aka USSR and the USA have entered what is know as the Cold War. The Cold War started Following the defeat of the Axis powers, an ideological and political rivalry between the United States and the USSR.

In 1948-1949 Berlin which is a city in Germany had all of the incoming supplies cut off which lead to the berlin airlift which is when NATO flew in millions of pounds of supplies into Berlin so they wouldnt turn communist.

In 1956 the crisis of Suez happened this was the conflict over the Suez canal in Egypt this wasa conflict between Britian , France and Israel and Egypt. They invaded Egypt but soon left because of the pressure fro the USA and the USSR.
